SEO Cost in Pakistan 2026: What You Should Actually Pay Every Month

3D price tag and monthly calendar showing Rs. 15,000+ starting SEO cost per month, with a coin stack and ascending bar chart representing growing results

Key takeaways

  • SEO is a monthly retainer, not a one-time purchase — anyone selling it as a fixed project is selling you an audit.
  • The price gap between agencies tracks hours and seniority, not secret techniques.
  • Below PKR 25,000 a month you are usually buying automated reports and low-quality links.
  • Results take three to six months. Any agency promising rankings in 30 days is guessing or lying.
  • Cheap SEO that uses spam links can cost more to undo than good SEO costs to do.

SEO in Pakistan costs between PKR 25,000 and PKR 300,000 per month in 2026, depending on competition and scope. Small local businesses typically pay PKR 25,000–60,000 monthly. Established SMEs pay PKR 60,000–150,000. National or highly competitive campaigns run PKR 150,000–300,000. One-off audits cost PKR 15,000–50,000, and results generally take three to six months regardless of what you spend.

How much does SEO cost in Pakistan per month?

Package tier Monthly (PKR) Best for Typical scope
Starter / local 25,000 – 60,000 Single-location small business Google Business Profile, 5–10 keywords, on-page fixes, monthly report
Growth 60,000 – 150,000 Established SME, one city or niche 20–40 keywords, content, technical fixes, link building, local listings
Competitive 150,000 – 300,000 National brands, e-commerce, high-value niches 50+ keywords, content team, digital PR, CRO input
Enterprise / custom 300,000+ Large catalogues, multiple markets Dedicated team, custom reporting, developer resource

One-off services:

Service Price (PKR)
Technical SEO audit 15,000 – 50,000
Keyword research and mapping 10,000 – 40,000
Google Business Profile setup and optimisation 8,000 – 25,000
Content piece (SEO-written, 1,500–2,000 words) 4,000 – 15,000

A note on how these tiers work: SEO is not one service. It is on-page and off-page SEO running in parallel, plus technical fixes, plus content. What changes between tiers is how many hours go into each of the three, not whether you get “better SEO”.

“Nobody sells SEO by the ranking. They sell hours. Once you understand that, comparing two quotes becomes very simple — ask how many hours, on what, and by whom.”

What are you actually paying for?

A monthly retainer usually covers five workstreams:

  1. Technical SEO. Crawlability, site speed, mobile usability, indexing, schema markup, redirect management. Google’s Search documentation is the reference standard here — any agency working outside it is guessing.
  2. Keyword and content strategy. Deciding what to target and in what order. If your agency skips this, everything downstream is wasted effort. Our guide to keyword research shows what this process should look like.
  3. On-page optimisation. Titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking, content improvements on existing pages.
  4. Content production. New pages and blog posts targeting the keywords you cannot rank for with existing pages. Usually the largest single cost line in a growth package.
  5. Off-page and authority. Digital PR, guest posting, citations, directory listings, review generation. Also increasingly AI search optimisation — because most citations in ChatGPT and AI Overviews come from third-party pages, not your own site.

Where does a monthly retainer actually go?

On a PKR 100,000 monthly package, a realistic hour allocation looks like this:

Activity Share of budget
Content production 35%
Off-page and authority building 25%
Technical SEO and fixes 20%
Strategy, analysis and reporting 15%
Tools and software 5%

If an agency cannot show you a breakdown roughly like this, they either do not track it or they are not doing it. Ask for the split before you sign.

Does SEO cost more in Karachi than Lahore or Islamabad?

Not meaningfully. Agency rates vary more than city markets do. What changes between cities is competition in your specific niche — a dentist in Karachi competes with far more dentists than one in Multan, so ranking takes more content and more links, which means more hours.

We run dedicated teams for SEO in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Multan, and pricing is set by scope and competition rather than postcode.

For single-location businesses, the cheapest meaningful win is usually local SEO rather than a full national campaign. Our breakdown of how pharmacies rank for “medical store near me” is a real local SEO example of what that work involves and what it returns.

What makes SEO cost more or less?

  • Competition in your niche. Real estate, legal, medical and finance cost more than niche B2B because more money is chasing the same keywords.
  • Current site condition. A site with technical debt, thin content or a spam link history needs cleanup before growth work starts. Budget one to three months for that.
  • Content volume. More pages means more cost. There is no way around this — content is the main lever in most campaigns.
  • How many keywords and locations. Five keywords in one city is a fraction of the work of fifty across four cities.
  • Whether the site needs rebuilding. Sometimes the honest answer is that SEO cannot fix the site you have. If your platform blocks proper URLs, schema or speed, factor in a rebuild — our guide to website design cost in Pakistan covers what that costs, and most of our clients rebuild on WordPress for exactly this reason.
  • Reporting depth. Custom dashboards and attribution modelling cost more than a monthly PDF.

SEO or Google Ads — which is cheaper?

They answer different questions. Ads buy traffic today at a fixed cost per click. SEO builds an asset that costs more upfront and less over time.

SEO Google Ads
Time to first results 3–6 months Same day
Cost pattern Fixed monthly, cost per lead falls Pay per click, cost per lead stays flat
Traffic when you stop paying Continues, then decays slowly Stops immediately
Best for Long-term compounding growth Launches, promotions, immediate leads

Most businesses under PKR 150,000 total monthly marketing budget do better running both at a smaller scale than either at full scale. Our breakdown of Google Ads budget in Pakistan sets out what ads cost locally, and the PPC budget calculator gives you a working figure in a couple of minutes. If ads turn out to be the better first move, our PPC services team can run that side.

Red flags in a cheap SEO package

  • Guaranteed rankings. Nobody controls Google’s results. A guarantee means either meaningless keywords or manipulation.
  • Results in 30 days. Not possible for anything competitive. Real movement starts at three months.
  • No named deliverables. “SEO optimisation” is not a deliverable. Hours, pages, links and fixes are.
  • Hundreds of backlinks per month. This is spam. It is the single fastest way to earn a penalty, and cleanup costs more than the package saved you.
  • No access to your own accounts. You should own Search Console, GA4 and Google Business Profile. Always.
  • Automated reports only. A PDF from a tool with no analysis is not reporting; it is a screenshot.
  • No content in the plan. Any package without content production is a package that will not move rankings.

“The most expensive SEO we do is cleanup. Undoing eighteen months of spam links costs more than eighteen months of doing it properly would have.”

What should you expect for your money?

The first two months go on audit, keyword mapping, technical fixes, Google Business Profile and baseline reporting. Expect little visible ranking movement — this is foundation work.

By month three or four, content publishing begins, on-page improvements land, and you should see first ranking movement on low-competition terms alongside rising impressions in Search Console.

Around months five and six, keyword movement becomes meaningful, traffic growth is visible, and the first leads attributable to organic search start arriving.

From month seven onwards, results compound: rankings on competitive terms, steady lead flow, and a falling cost per lead.

If you have seen no impression growth in Search Console by month four, something is wrong and you should ask directly why.

How Superio Tech prices SEO

We scope every retainer against your actual competition rather than selling fixed packages. That means an audit first, then a proposal with named deliverables, hour allocations and a realistic timeline. You keep ownership of Search Console, GA4 and your Google Business Profile from day one, and reporting shows what was done, not just what ranked.
